There are many stories of people being suppressed and careers destroyed for information they believed was best to chase down and perhaps publish to the public. There is an entire blog tag just for looking through all the stories we have been able to gather up.

SUPPRESSED IDEA: Laboratory Mice Have Radically Elongated Telomeres, Meaning We Have Radically Undervalued The Toxicity Of The Drugs We Test On Them

SYNOPSIS: After his prediction that laboratory mice would have radically elongated telomeres- a discovery with profound implications for human wellbeing on a massive scale- was proven correct after consulting with Dr. Carol Greider, Mr. Weinstein’s paper on the subject was rejected by the prestigious scientific journal Nature, despite having a recommendation from acclaimed scholar George Williams.

Mr. Weinstein then sent Dr. Greider the paper for her opinion, only to receive a series of thorough and intense criticisms. Shortly afterward, Experimental Gerontology contacted him showing interest in the paper; but after submitting, a blind reviewer (suspected to be Dr. Greider) panned the paper.

Since they were sub-par critiques, Mr. Weinstein contacted the editors saying the criticisms were strange, and was quickly emailed back stating that it was accepted. Experimental Gerontology then published “The Reserve Capacity Hypothesis”.

In the midst of several expensive drug recalls, an FDA commission published a book “The Future of Drug Safety” without acknowledging any of the pertinent variables presented in Mr. Weinstein’s paper, now publicly available. In an attempt to get this issue publicized, Mr. Weinstein contacted multiple reporters, who showed excitement at first before eventually dropping their interest without running a story.

Dr. Grieder moved forward with her paper on the subject, refusing to acknowledge Mr. Weinstein’s contribution as there was no documentation of their initial conversation that began this research. After being awarded the Nobel Prize, Dr. Greider then gave a speech announcing the discovery of the elongated telomeres of laboratory mice, but neglected to mention the direct implication that this has led to radically undervalued risks of drug toxicity in our medical system.

Mr. Weinstein’s continued efforts to alert the public to the degree of risk posed by testing drugs on mice with radically elongated telomeres failed until his appearance on The Portal podcast in February, 2020.
