OUR VALUES

Pro-Individual:  We stand with those who stand alone. It has always been easier to go with the crowd, but in an age of rampant tribalism, those who refuse to partake in groupthink have our utmost respect.

Diversity of Opinion: Unpopular thoughts are the medicine of civilization- they may not be pleasant, but our condition won’t improve without them. That is why we support many perspectives being heard, even if some are distasteful. A hands-off approach to the marketplace of ideas.

Moral Initiative: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke. When we see bad things happen to good people, we will not wait for institutions to come to the rescue. It is our responsibility to support one another, and we accept the challenges that come with it.

Comfort is Overrated: Our standard of living has never been higher, but it is increasingly obvious that society is not functioning properly. One reason why we have struggled to solve our problems is that we have refused to sacrifice any comfort in exchange for potential solutions. To overcome the challenges we face, we must begin to tolerate ideas that may make us uncomfortable- not silence them.

Humility and Forgiveness: Perfection doesn’t exist, and we need to stop demanding it. Expecting it is why so many have suffered undue punishment for one slip up. This applies to you, and it applies to us. We will do our best to facilitate support to those who deserve it, but we will fail at some point along the way. We only promise to do our best to learn from the mistakes we will inevitably make.

Independence and Authenticity: A lot of people won’t like us. That’s okay. We’re doing our best to do what we believe to be right, and will only be changing our approach when we determine there is a better way to do things, not from any outside pressure. If you have a suggestion, feel free to let us know. If you really don’t like us, feel free to let us know. We just won’t be changing because of it.
